New Redesign

I’ve been really into reducing clutter in every way I can. The site was the next to get hit, and this new design is the result. It is just about finished, though there are still some tweaks to be made.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, Life

An ongoing collection of words that share the details that make life what is to me.

In other words, this is living:

  • The way I saw the world when I was little
  • Old film
  • Polaroids
  • Landscapes
  • Grainy melodies
  • Blurred pictures
  • The sound of rain hitting my window at night while lying in bed
  • Autumn
  • Walking for no real reason
  • Cleaning off rocks in water
  • Foliage
  • Crunchy leaves
  • Being outside
  • Taking the back roads
  • Possibilities
  • Finding old things at yard sales
  • Silence
  • The buzz of street lamps at night
  • Yellow traffic lights at 4 am

Framed: Making Do Without My DSLR

Took this with a point and shoot that I found. I’m still missing my DSLR terribly, but I guess it’s not the tools that matter. At least not entirely.

I find myself feeling a bit empty without a camera around my neck. I’ve got one in my pocket, but it’s not quite the same. I miss the leel of manual control. Soon enough, I hope.

Spam Poem #4

This “poem” is created by the following steps:

  1. Open real spam message
  2. Remove the links
  3. Remove misspelled drug names
  4. Remove fake words
  5. Add line breaks and punctuation
  6. Change a few word’s tense to make it coherent

And in the end, we have this:

Maintain your efforts, never met.

The majority–assist them. Make amends.

The harpies spied, led to nothing.
Things and you happen like being.
The ropes embrace these things,
don’t come without plans.

Her fate was immediate; yours faster.
Little trouble to apologize.

Living eyes–the journey starts
without discovering the foot.

The piano & the sailboat
will make the place that love knew.

Not well, this soul.

Wind blew those passions.
Legs bore everybody else.

The mainland has her
and dark shapes.

Settling for the present–your own hollow.
Your dreams were queen’s jewels
kicked into sunlight.

Spam Poem #3

This “poem” is created by the following steps:

  1. Open real spam message
  2. Remove the links
  3. Remove misspelled drug names
  4. Remove fake words
  5. Add line breaks and punctuation
  6. Change a few word’s tense to make it coherent

And in the end, we have this:

Free our friend.
The expense assumes she’s human,
falling over mischief without looking in.

They lined and ate.
Stood amazed.

Genuine regret.

First skeleton stepped in gladly,
consumed the winged monster.

Indication that plants that were worse were wonderful.

Lacking appetite
and shrill laughter.

Two weeks later: persistent cough.

Deadly $2 heroin. Targets: teens.
Really did know exactly the cost.

Turn hard, hard princess.
Open hours, working her pole.

Herself? Natural.

Rare experience, this bravery.

Now depression, strange human, sleeping princess
complete with side effects.

Malevolent head–facts causing only cute hints–gaping in its own defense.

Spam Poetry #2

This “poem” is created by the following steps:

  1. Open real spam message
  2. Remove the links
  3. Remove misspelled drug names
  4. Remove fake words
  5. Add line breaks and punctuation
  6. Change a few word’s tense to make it coherent

And in the end, we have this:

body expired; take note

the ears opened out
her question rejected

that will fix
the end of action

those all dreaming side effects

golden

each appalled
bee swarms
and ointment

night voice
flushing passingly

Your Life, After the Beep

After the Beep is a podcast/audio project composed of shared narratives. The project is an attempt to capture a glimpse of our historical moment within the context of each other. It’s to explore what are we losing, what are we gaining, and how it relates to everyone around us.

It’s simple. Leave a voice recording that’s three minutes or less containing absolutely anything you’d like to say. Tell us about your life. What moves you. What scares you. What inspires passion into your life. Tell us your story.
There are no limits on what you can share–something funny, something sad. Something you’re angry about. Something secret. A confession.

Anything. In the end, we’ll be trying to capture the complexities of our world through the combination of our voices and our stories.

Each week stories will be selected and edited together to create a loosely flowing shared narrative of the world we all experience.

There are three ways to share:

– Call any time, any day, from any phone and leave a voicemail at (989) 546-7712

– Leave a voicemail directly from Skype: EhdomOnSkype (you can also easily add this contact to your contact list by clicking here)

– Email an MP3 to projects@ehdom.com

Also:

– Do send your stories, experiences, hopes, dreams, failures, fears, goals, mishaps, etc.

– Don’t worry about mentioning your name, a greeting, or an end to the message. Just say what you’d like to say. Recordings are anonymous.

– Do leave as many messages as you’d like as often as you like.

You can follow the project here or over at the project page.
